If you’ve previously opted out of your Penfold pension but contributions have started coming out of your pay again, your employer has likely enrolled you into their workplace pension again.
Can I opt out again?
Yes. If you don’t want to contribute, you can opt out again. Your new welcome email will explain how to do this. Look for the section called “How do I opt out of my workplace pension?”
Make sure you follow the instructions in your most recent welcome email, as these apply to your new enrolment.
How long do I have to opt out?
You’ll get a new one-month opt-out window when you’re re-enrolled. If you opt out within this window, you’ll be eligible for a refund of any contributions made as part of your new enrolment. Your employer will process the refund.
If you opt out after the one-month window, you can still stop future contributions. However, you won’t be eligible for a refund of contributions already made.
What if I haven’t received a new welcome email?
If contributions have started coming out of your pay but you haven’t received a new welcome email, we may still be waiting for your re-enrolment details from your employer or processing them. Once we’ve processed your new enrolment, we’ll send you a welcome email with instructions on how to opt out.
