It normally takes around 6 to 11 weeks, from the date of your qualifying payment, for HMRC to process the tax top-up into your account.

We claim tax relief for the dates that run from the 6th of one month to 5th of the next month, and then HMRC pay this at the end of following month. For example, for contributions made between the 6th of January and 5th of February, you receive the tax relief at the end of March.
