Yes. If your pension has a protected normal minimum pension age, you can transfer it to Penfold and keep this protection.
The normal minimum pension age is the earliest age at which most people can access their pension funds. It’s currently 55 and will increase to 57 from April 6th 2028.
Some pensions have a protected pension age of 55. This means you can still access that pension at age 55, even after the minimum age increases to 57.
If you transfer a pension with this protection to Penfold, you’ll keep the right to access that transferred money from age 55. The protection only applies to the money transferred from that pension. It won’t automatically apply to the rest of your Penfold pension.
