How to correct payroll/contribution errors?

Sometimes mistakes happen — here’s what to do if you've submitted an incorrect pension file to Penfold.


If your file was fast-tracked:

The file was sent recently (within 24 hours):

  • We may still be able to cancel the upload before it’s fully processed.

  • Please contact us as soon as possible via:

  • Let us know the employer ID and what needs changing.

The file was fast-tracked, and it has been more than 24 hours:

  • Unfortunately, we cannot make changes to a fast-tracked file once it's been more than 24 hours.

  • Any corrections (e.g. missed employees, incorrect figures) must be added as adjustments in your next pay period’s report.


If your file went to assisted:

  • You can contact our team to request corrections to the file before it’s processed.

  • Please reach out to our support team:

  • Be ready to provide the employer ID and details of the correction required.


If an employee was missed in the report:

  • You can add the missing employee separately by uploading a manual file with just their data.

  • Go to your Penfold employer dashboard and upload a file via the "Process contributions" section.
