We’re updating the names of some of our plans and funds to make it clearer what you’re invested in. These updates are live from Monday, 7th September 2026.
Your investments aren’t changing as part of these name updates. You may simply notice that the names you’re used to seeing in your Penfold account look different.
Here’s a handy guide to the new names:

Sustainable Lifetime Plan | ESG Lifetime |
Standard Lifetime Plan | Multi-asset Lifetime |
Penfold Growth | Penfold Growth |

Why are the names changing?
The new names are designed to make it easier to understand the type of investment and, where relevant, how much is invested in equities.
For example, Standard Level 1 becomes Multi-asset 20–40% equity, giving you a clearer indication of the fund’s investment mix from the name alone.
Do I need to do anything?
No. If you’re already invested in one of these plans or funds, you don’t need to take any action because of the name change.
You’ll simply start seeing the new name across Penfold.
