Direct debits take a little while to process. This is because the instruction needs to be set up first, and then the payment is processed. Below are the timelines for each payment method.
Monthly regular payment
The earliest date your bank account can be charged is 4 working days from the date you set up the payment. If the payment date you select is more than 4 working days away (from the day that you set up your payment), your payment will be taken on the date you chose.
For example, today is Friday, the 20th of March, and you select the 1st of April to be your regular payment date. There are more than 4 working days to process this April payment; therefore, your first payment will be issued on the 1st of April.
One-off top-up payment
If you set up your account with a one-off top-up, your payment will be taken from your bank account in 4 working days (from the day you set up your payment). It will then take a further 2 working days to double-check your payment and process it into your Penfold account.
