Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds an additional layer of security to your Penfold account by requiring a second form of verification beyond just the password.

We at Penfold have chosen to implement 2FA as an additional measure to safeguard your account as well as your pension savings.

How it works

If you haven't set up 2FA on your Penfold account yet, we'll ask you to enter your phone number the next time you log in. We'll then send you a verification code via SMS to this phone number. You must then enter this code on the website or app - wherever you're trying to log in - before you can access your account.

After that, each time you try to log in to your Penfold account with your email and password, you will also be required to enter a verification code sent to your phone via SMS.

  • If you're using the Penfold app, you'll be required to verify your account with 2FA every 30 days unless you log out of the app (you'll then have to complete 2FA again when logging in)

  • If you're using Penfold on your desktop, you'll have to verify your account with 2FA every time you log in

What if I change my phone number?

If you've updated your phone number and are now locked out of your Penfold account, get in touch with us by starting a chat on our website, or by sending an email to hello@getpenfold.com. We can help you log in and update your number!
